[ad_pod ]Leeds are a couple of top quality signings away from running away with the Championship, and one fan thinks they should make an ambitious move for Anthony Knockaert.
So what’s the word?
Marcelo Bielsa delivered a slightly concerning transfer update this week, reaffirming his desire to work with the current squad if no quality signings are available.
However, it is a miracle that the Whites are top of the league given both the quality and depth of Bielsa’s squad, and if the club opts not to sign anyone this month it may well cost them automatic promotion.
As well as a goalkeeper and a defensive signing, the boss should be looking to add a real game-changer up front who can make magic happen when the games get tighter at the end of the season, and this fan thinks the 2017 Championship player of the season would be perfect.
Could it happen?
Well, The 27 year-old is a very popular figure on the south coast and is contracted with the Seagulls until 2022, but he has fallen slightly down the pecking order this season.

The French winger has played just 1,088 of a possible 1,890 Premier League minutes, and Chris Hughton’s strategy of slowly integrating new signings could see summer capture Alireza Jahanbakhsh eat into Knockaert’s playing time once he returns from the Asian Cup.
Is he good enough?
Knockaert hasn’t managed to carry his 2016-17 form into the Premier League, racking up just four league goals and five assists sunce the beginning of last season.
Still, he bagged 15 goals and added nine assists during the Seagulls’ promotion campaign, and if he can match this production under Bielsa he would make the Whites clear favourites for the title.
His pace, trickery and crossing combined with the ability to drift into central positions and add goals would make Bielsa’s side almost impossible to defend, forcing teams to choose whether to gang up on Knockaert or Pablo Hernandez.
So, Leeds fans, do you think this could happen? Would it be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
