Sheffield United earned a hard-fought draw with Manchester United on Sunday and the display of Phil Jagielka won him praise from fans.
The Blades dominated the match throughout and the back five looked to keep the visitors’ attack quiet for large parts, but the Yorkshire side almost lost the match after conceding three goals in seven minutes.
Other than that disastrous spell Chris Wilder’s team were on top, and Jagielka used his experience to his advantage in making things difficult for Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

His showing is even more impressive when one considers that it was his first Premier League start of the season at the age of 37.
He proved that he still has what it takes to play at the top level and his organisation of the defence looked like it would give the home side a win that would have sent them fifth.
It wasn’t to be but his performance has acted as a reassurance to fans, as even without first-choice centre-back John Egan the Blades looked comfortable for large spells.
