Southampton are pondering a move for Celta Vigo winger Pione Sisto when the transfer window opens this summer, according to The Sun.
What’s the story?
The coastal club’s first priority is avoiding relegation to the Championship, which is now doable following last weekend’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth.
As it stands, the club are one point from safety with three games left to go, and The Sun reports that manager Mark Hughes already has his eye on a top signing in the event that the club retain their Premier League status.
The newspaper claims that Sisto, who has previously been linked to the coastal club, is on Southampton’s radar.
The winger has a £36m release clause in his contract, but the report states that the Spanish outfit would be open to selling for half that figure.

Would Sisto improve them?
A major problem that the Saints have endured this season is the lack of pace in wide areas, with the likes of Sofiane Boufal and Nathan Redmond failing to produce on a consistent basis.
Sisto, who has earned 12 international caps for Denmark, has created nine assists and scored five goals for Celta, who currently sit 11th in La Liga.
There is no guarantee that he would thrive in the Premier League, but he performs regularly in Spain’s top flight, which brings with it its own pressures.
The former Midtjylland player would be a decent option for Southampton, but the move is unlikely to happen unless the club avoid relegation.
