As the season draws towards its close, fans of the Premier League often like to look back over the campaign, highlighting players who have made big impacts, netted impressive goals and indeed underperformed. For every man who has turned in consistently impressive performances, there are often a few who have failed to live up to the expectations placed upon their shoulders during pre-season, frustrating their fans and managers. Each club will have a few members who have performed a little below par, whether they be challenging for the title or battling for survival.
Quite often new signings fail to live up to their promise or key men fail to produce the displays of previous years. Managers frequently take the bullet for such disappointments, but the players who fail to deliver should not be able to slip under the radar.
