Kyle Walker ended his eight-year-long stay at Manchester City as he signed for newly promoted Premier League side Burnley on a two-year deal. Walker joined the Cityzens from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 and won several titles with Pep Guardiola's side, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy. He was also an integral part of the City side that won the treble in 2023.

The English full-back fell out of favour under Guardiola last December and was then shipped off to AC Milan on a short-term loan deal. AC Milan eventually decided not to make the transfer permanent and City had made it clear that Walker did not have a future at the club. At last, the defender decided to join the Clarets.

The move, however, left fans in disbelief as many of them could not fathom that a player of Walker's stature had joined a newly promoted club.
